About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Identify, document, and validate current-state processes and design the desired future-state target operating model
  • Provide recommendations based on end-to-end customer experience
  • Lead, analyze, document, prioritize, and manage requirements with stakeholders
  • Maintain end-to-end traceability from business goals through requirements, features, user stories, and test cases
  • Plan and execute people and process change plans, including documentation, communications, and training
  • Plan, execute, and manage functional testing across in-sprint testing, BAT, PAT, and post-production validation
  • Create, review, and obtain sign-off on testing documentation and artifacts
  • Create and execute detailed test cases and document results
  • Define test data and test environment requirements
  • Log defects and assist with resolution
  • Communicate product changes and backlog priorities to stakeholders
  • Make delivery decisions and assess, mitigate, and manage risks
  • Drive Business Stakeholder Demos and compile team performance metrics
  • Communicate testing impacts of scope and project changes to project management
  • Analyze, develop, debug, execute, and maintain automated test cases
  • Use Agile, Product Owner, Shift Left testing methodologies and tools including Jira, JTMF, and Confluence
  • Build relationships with internal and external partners and collaborate across teams
  • Engage and update stakeholders and senior management
  • Guide team members and manage expectations
  • Recommend best practices and develop innovative solutions
  • Support team knowledge transfer, training, coaching, and cross-functional collaboration

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Undergraduate degree or technical certificate
  • 5+ years relevant experience
  • 5+ years in Project Management, Product Owner, Testing Practices, and/or Agile delivery experience
  • Advanced knowledge of applications supported by the team, including system components, functionality, interfaces, data flows, and business rules
  • Advanced knowledge of the bank's PDLC methodology, business testing, and project management
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Substantial knowledge of SWIFT messages, ISO20022, MX and MT formats
  • Knowledge of non-wire payment methods such as drafts and checks
  • Understanding of payment systems and methods such as Canada Lynx, US CHIPS, and FedWire
  • Experience with payment data, canonical models, and payment data mapping
  • Ability to create and document Target Operating Models (TOMs)
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Jira, and Confluence
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships across business and technology partners
  • Certifications such as PMP, Agile Certified Practitioner, or Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) are assets
  • Consulting and/or strategy experience preferred
  • Tier 1 bank or financial institution experience preferred
