About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Gather and translate business data requirements
- Perform impact analysis and support stakeholder engagement
- Ensure proper data ingestion, curation, and consumption
- Clarify solution designs supporting business strategies and analytical initiatives
- Document, prototype, and validate current and future-state data flow processes
- Identify relevant business processes affecting data curation and explain their impact
- Lead complex analysis in an evolving data environment
- Gather, analyze, document, and maintain data requirements for applications, interfaces, and reporting environments
- Apply standards and best practices to ensure data accuracy, completeness, currency, understandability, and accessibility
- Define and manage data dictionaries and catalogs with data owners
- Advise data modelers, data warehouse and integration developers, and data management processes
- Maintain and enhance enterprise data governance policies
- Provide thought leadership on emerging data information management solutions and frameworks
- Lead cross-functional and enterprise initiatives, identify risks, and guide complex situations
- Collaborate with technology and business teams to deliver data solutions
- Facilitate data analysis and investigations for business users and QA teams
- Oversee business impact after implementation and validate intended outcomes
- Coordinate business requirements with technical teams and support source code and release management practices
- Lead or participate in business and technical design reviews
- Lead data governance and data management initiatives
- Document business metadata and data lineage in enterprise metadata tools
- Promote data security best practices and compliance with policies and regulations
- Document requirements and technical decisions, risks, lessons learned, and enhancement opportunities
- Enable cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing
- Mentor colleagues and contribute to team development
Requirements
What you’ll need- Undergraduate degree or Technical Certificate, and/or 5+ years of relevant experience from a business administration, statistical, mathematical, scientific or financial background
- Expert-level analytical and problem-solving skills
- Fluent in multiple programming languages
- In-depth expertise or experience with big data solutions
- Familiarity with big data technologies
- Familiarity with visualization tools
- 5+ years leading, analyzing, documenting, and managing requirements with stakeholders
- 5+ years of business analysis and delivery execution practices and standards
- 5+ years of commercial lending processes and data
- Knowledge of regulatory and framework controls, standards, and best practices
- Knowledge of commercial lending and finance
- Ability to perform sedentary work and operate standard office equipment
- Ability to concentrate for long periods and read, write, and comprehend instructions
- Occasional domestic travel; no international travel
