About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct analyses on curated and/or aggregated DataMarts using business subject matter expertise
  • Generate analytical insights for business issues and identify opportunities to drive business growth and value
  • Produce analysis, visualizations, and presentations illustrating business trends and opportunities
  • Recommend business actions to support strategy and solve business problems
  • Partner with functional areas to provide day-to-day analytics support and delivery
  • Execute data requests accurately and promptly
  • Translate business requirements into analytics and reporting needs
  • Contribute to identifying key performance indicators
  • Identify opportunities for business or revenue growth and efficiencies
  • Investigate data and analytics issues and validate analysis accuracy
  • Develop analyses to corroborate proofs of concept
  • Educate and train business users on integrating analytics into decisions
  • Provide recommendations on financial and monetization goals, cost savings, and revenue generation
  • Build business requirements and facilitate project execution
  • Use quantitative and qualitative methodologies to interpret and present data
  • Conduct internal and external research projects and support presentations and communications to management
  • Manage risks and escalate non-standard, high-risk activities
  • Lead workstreams as project lead or subject matter expert for small-scale projects
  • Participate in knowledge transfer, mentorship, team development, and cross-training
  • Keep stakeholders informed about project status and relevant activities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Undergraduate degree or advanced technical degree preferred, such as math, physics, engineering, finance, or computer science
  • Graduate degree preferred with either progressive project work experience, or 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Higher degree education and research tenure can be counted
  • Strong expertise in profitability analysis for consumer banking products, including deposit and lending portfolios
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience translating data into meaningful business insights and recommendations
  • Experience with financial analysis and financial model-building
  • Strong technical skills in Excel, VB, and Power BI
  • Some coding experience is a plus: SAS, SQL, PySpark, or Python
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot
  • Ability to perform sedentary work, operate standard office equipment, and concentrate for long periods
  • Occasional domestic travel
