About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct analyses on curated and/or aggregated DataMarts using deep business subject-matter expertise
- Generate analytical insights for business issues and identify opportunities to drive business growth and value
- Partner with business leaders to present insights and deliver supporting collateral and presentations
- Lead interpretation of complex business issues and recommend business actions
- Serve as the primary interface between business teams and analytics/reporting teams
- Provide business expertise and context around analytics discovery and recommendations
- Provide day-to-day analytics support and delivery
- Build business requirements and facilitate project execution to develop insights
- Collaborate with partners on business challenges and deliver fact-based analytical advice aligned to strategy
- Gather analytics demand from business teams and work with the analytics hub to fulfill it
- Explain anomalies and outliers identified during analysis
- Train business users to integrate analytics into decisions
- Develop analyses to corroborate proofs of concept
- Execute data requests accurately and promptly
- Identify and investigate data and analytics issues
- Lead or facilitate remediation plans for performance, risk, and governance issues
- Manage relationships across business lines and corporate/control functions
- Monitor emerging issues, trends, and regulatory requirements
- Maintain effective risk-management and control processes
- Provide thought leadership and industry knowledge
- Keep stakeholders informed about project progress and relevant activities
- Mentor others and contribute to team capability development
Requirements
What you’ll need- Undergraduate degree or advanced technical degree preferred, such as math, physics, engineering, finance, or computer science
- Graduate degree preferred with progressive project work experience, or 5+ years of relevant experience
- Higher degree education and research tenure can be counted
- Specialized business management, analytics, and business insights knowledge
- Ability to conduct complex analysis on curated and/or aggregated DataMarts
- Ability to generate multifaceted analytical insights and identify business growth opportunities
- Ability to create visualizations and presentations for varied audiences
- Ability to translate business requirements into analytics and reporting requirements
- Quantitative and qualitative data interpretation methodologies
- Ability to investigate data and analytics issues
- Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders, business lines, corporate/control functions, and vendors
- Knowledge of risk management, governance, regulatory requirements, and financial controls
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations
