About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and execute collections strategies across early- to late-stage delinquency
  • Improve cure rates, roll rates, and customer engagement
  • Use data analytics and segmentation to design targeted treatment strategies across SMS, digital, call, and legal channels
  • Drive test-and-learn frameworks, including control/treatment design, performance measurement, and statistical validation
  • Identify customer segments using behavioral, risk, and engagement data
  • Partner with Legal, Compliance, Operations, and Digital Vendors to implement compliant, scalable strategies
  • Monitor performance metrics such as RPC%, PTP%, liquidation curves, and roll rates
  • Deliver insights and recommendations to leadership and Senior Management
  • Ensure strategies adhere to TCPA, FDCPA, CFPB guidance, and other regulatory standards
  • Support digital transformation initiatives, including automation and vendor integrations
  • Lead or participate in new initiatives, workflow improvements, services, applications, and operational efficiencies
  • Develop and enhance credit risk assessment capabilities
  • Create regular reports using quantitative methods and MIS, recommending increased efficiency and revenue while managing credit risk
  • Work cross-functionally with teams outside Risk
  • Work with Internal Audit and External Regulators to maintain complete, current process documentation
  • Proactively manage credit risk within Bank guidelines
  • Communicate relevant issues and foster effective relationships with internal and external groups

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree required; Graduate degree preferred
  • 5+ years' experience required
  • Proficient PC skills, including strong competency in MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with PC-based analytical and reporting software packages
  • Experience with relational databases and Extract Transform Load (ETL) using SQL or SAS
  • Familiarity with analytical or reporting tools such as SAS, R, Matlab, and Tableau
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in data modeling and risk management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience developing and presenting recommendations to Senior Management
  • Experience with customer, risk, and portfolio segmentation
  • Experience building and driving credit risk and collections strategies
  • Experience with A/B testing, experimental design, decision trees, and champion/challenger testing
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in STEM
  • Preferred: Experience with collections lifecycle strategy across multiple products or portfolios
  • Preferred: Familiarity with digital outreach channels such as SMS, email, and AI-driven engagement
  • Preferred: Exposure to TCPA, FDCPA, and CFPB regulatory frameworks
  • Occasional domestic and international travel
