About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide compliance oversight, advisory support, effective challenge, and compliance risk management for US Digital Banking
- Manage the engagement model for Compliance areas supporting Digital Banking business lines
- Serve as primary compliance support and provide oversight and independent challenge for business activities and initiatives with regulatory impact
- Act as regulatory compliance subject matter expert and provide advice and challenge on applicable laws, rules, and regulations
- Monitor business activity through issue management, monitoring, and testing
- Participate in forums, committees, regular meetings, and change management efforts
- Review and challenge regulatory risks, mitigations, and conditions to launch for material business changes and new initiatives
- Present initiatives to executives for approval
- Manage and track compliance-related issues and ensure timely resolution
- Lead regulatory change management for new and updated state laws
- Monitor regulatory complaints, business reports, and key risk indicators to identify trends and compliance risks
- Review and validate first-line testing and support regulatory requirement-to-control mapping
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to strengthen the compliance framework and reduce risk exposure
- Advise business partners on regulatory and policy changes
- Develop and implement Compliance programs and risk assessments
- Prepare summaries, presentations, briefing notes, and required Compliance reporting
- Represent Compliance on internal or external committees
- Manage high-risk initiatives and escalations
- Conduct internal and external research and support management communications
- Mentor colleagues, share knowledge, and contribute to team development
Requirements
What you’ll need- Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience
- 7+ years of experience
- Strong subject matter expertise in consumer banking regulations, including Regulation E, Regulation Z, E-Sign, Regulation V, Regulation DD, FDIC, and AI state law
- Experience with compliance monitoring, testing, and control mapping
- Hands-on experience in issue management and regulatory change management
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong presentation skills and ability to present to executives
- Relationship-building skills across multiple business lines
- Experience with Artificial Intelligence initiative implementations in a consumer banking setting is a plus
- CRCM preferred
- Ability to perform sedentary work and operate standard office equipment
- Occasional domestic travel
