About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Plan and oversee independent Compliance testing completed by specialists
  • Execute independent testing as applicable
  • Provide subject matter expertise on Compliance controls and processes
  • Lead all phases of assigned testing engagements
  • Act as a lead in executing engagements and provide work direction to others
  • Manage multiple concurrent reviews and related tasks end to end
  • Provide guidance to stakeholders and team members
  • Act as the highest point of team escalation for resolution when needed
  • Execute and manage testing activities according to established standards and strategic direction
  • Follow up on findings from testing engagements
  • Conduct analytical research and analysis
  • Oversee testing engagements, including communications and reporting
  • Identify matters requiring additional attention, escalation, or review and liaise with appropriate staff to resolve
  • Prioritize workload to deliver quality results and meet testing timelines
  • Review internal processes and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency
  • Document research and engagement-specific requirements
  • Identify and manage risks and escalate high-risk activities
  • Provide guidance, assistance, and direction to others
  • Participate in cross-functional and enterprise initiatives as a subject matter expert
  • Monitor emerging issues, trends, and regulatory requirements and assess impacts to the Bank
  • Maintain a culture of risk management and control
  • Mentor others and contribute to team capability development
  • Manage relationships with internal and external business partners and stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience
  • 7+ years of experience
  • Knowledge and experience within compliance or audit, legal and regulatory environment, enterprise governance framework, products and services, policies, standards, systems, reporting and training requirements
  • Knowledge of current and emerging trends, including regulatory expectations and standards for effective compliance management systems
  • Ability to research, interpret and summarize relevant regulatory expectations, laws, regulations and impacts to Compliance Program elements
  • Skill in using computer applications including MS Office
  • Use in AI including MS Co-Pilot
  • Skill in using advanced analytical software tools, data analysis methods and specialized reporting techniques
  • Wealth Management Compliance experience preferred, but not required
  • CRCM preferred, but not required
  • Ability to understand risk identification, risk analysis, and risk mitigation according to regulatory requirements and best business practices
  • Occasional domestic travel
  • Ability to perform sedentary work, multiple tasks, operate standard office equipment, concentrate for long periods, and read, write and comprehend instructions continuously
