About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead external advisory engagement and stakeholder insight activities
- Manage national and local advisory groups
- Coordinate executive-level engagements
- Build ongoing relationships with community partners and external stakeholders
- Synthesize stakeholder feedback into actionable insights for business planning, risk management, community impact, and responsible business priorities
- Maintain governance, documentation, and cross-functional follow-through
- Develop and execute community and environmental plans, programs, projects, and strategies
- Manage programs and initiatives of moderate scope and complexity
- Interpret business challenges and recommend courses of action and best practices
- Act as a technical expert and independently manage end-to-end functional programs
- Design, develop, and execute community/environment solutions aligned with enterprise strategies
- Manage and deliver programs, activities, events, and presentations supporting community investment initiatives
- Develop strategic communications for programs and initiatives
- Manage relationships with charitable organizations, external organizations, internal business partners, and third parties
- Advise businesses on community giving, investment, sponsorship, and community/environment programs
- Establish and update policies, procedures, and processes
- Communicate program progress, changes, budgets, timelines, and status; escalate as appropriate
- Assess program and process effectiveness and evaluate business impact
- Resolve escalated issues and manage project/program changes
- Prepare and manage project budgets and quarterly forecasts
- Manage assigned people, budgets, and processes
- Conduct internal and external research and functional or enterprise-level analysis
- Recommend process and performance improvements
- Monitor regulatory requirements, risks, and controls
- Provide subject matter expertise, guidance, mentorship, and thought leadership
- Maintain relationships across business lines and ensure alignment with enterprise and regulatory requirements
- Participate in team development, knowledge transfer, and cross-training
- Serve as a Brand ambassador for TD and the Bank
Requirements
What you’ll need- Undergraduate degree or relevant professional certifications, designations or equivalent required
- 7+ years relevant experience
- Advanced knowledge of multiple marketing principles and disciplines
- Knowledge of strategy development and consulting principles
- Knowledge of lines of businesses supported, banking industry, and product/customer markets
- Knowledge of current and emerging competitor and market trends
- Knowledge of risk management environment, standards, and regulations
- Knowledge and understanding of process improvement methodologies
- Ability to manage a budget within budget constraints
- Ability to contribute to strategic direction and advise senior leadership
- Skill in mentoring, coaching, and performance management
- Ability to lead, plan, implement, and evaluate program/project activities
- Sound judgment in decision-making
- Negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to build relationships across teams and functions
- Skill in analytical software tools, data analysis methods, and reporting techniques
- Proficiency with computer applications, including MS Office
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines independently and collaboratively
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Occasional domestic and international travel
