About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct in-depth industry and financial analysis of existing and potential borrowers
  • Support Lending and Credit functions of the Bank
  • Perform financial analysis of moderately complex loans, industries, and Customers
  • Research industry-specific information using borrowers, publications, libraries, banks, credit agencies, and the Internet
  • Participate in Customer meetings and make direct inquiries for specific Customer information
  • Perform underwriting analysis of Borrower character, creditworthiness, and financial condition
  • Provide analytical support to the lending function
  • Prepare timely approval memorandums for lending and credit authorities
  • Analyze financial statements, management profiles, business and product cycles, cash flow ability, collateral, and agings to assess credit risk
  • Prepare written analyses with recommendations for approval, denial, or alternative structures
  • Maintain credit files and monitor updated financial statements
  • Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Identify deviations from Company Commercial Loan Policy and evaluate alternative structures to reduce credit risk
  • Meet operational performance standards for quality and timeliness

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 4 year degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years related experience required
  • Developed knowledge of credit and financial analysis techniques
  • Ability to gather, consolidate, analyze and summarize data and provide recommendations independently
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and research skills
  • Developed PC skills, including proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of credit and Customer information
  • Good interpersonal skills and team orientation
  • Occasional domestic travel
  • Ability to perform sedentary work, multiple tasks, operate standard office equipment, concentrate for long periods, read and comprehend instructions, and perform basic arithmetic continuously
