About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Prospect, develop, cultivate, and maintain new and existing business relationships in the assigned market
  • Meet prospective and existing dealer customers to acquire indirect business and sell TD Bank Dealer Commercial Services products
  • Expand relationships with TD Auto Finance and TD Bank U.S. throughout a specified region
  • Increase efficient and profitable retail and commercial business while maintaining a profitable dealer portfolio
  • Manage relationships with auto dealers in an assigned territory for Retail, Commercial, and Remarketing products
  • Monitor dealer performance through daily reports and recommend or take appropriate actions
  • Apply differentiated services to grow, improve, or cease relationships to maintain profitable, efficient business
  • Discuss consumer and commercial lending products with dealers and create strategies and plans based on their needs
  • Develop new business by meeting prospects, qualifying needs, formulating account strategies, coordinating with personnel, and presenting solutions
  • Visit customers regularly to maintain service levels, assess business situations, answer questions, resolve problems, and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Create and deliver sales presentations to individuals, larger audiences, and organizations
  • Provide training and mentoring for new and less experienced staff
  • Participate in developing unit operating policies and procedures
  • Develop and retain indirect business according to company policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 4 year degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years related experience required
  • Extensive knowledge of dealer finance and indirect consumer lending products and services and credit decisions
  • Proven sales track record, including successfully attracting new Customers
  • Account management skills, including ability to build strong and lasting business relationships
  • Refined negotiation skills
  • Ability to work in teams to contribute to sound lending decisions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent PC skills
  • Ability to perform occasional domestic travel
  • Ability to perform the listed physical requirements, including continuous sitting, sedentary work, multiple-task performance, office-equipment operation, concentration, reading, writing, comprehension, and basic arithmetic
