About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide market research support by compiling and publishing comprehensive analysis and research on corporations, industries, financial markets, and economic developments
  • Compile, analyze, and evaluate data and conduct modeling for companies, industries, financial markets, and economic analysis research reports
  • Assist in developing valuation tools and advise institutional clients
  • Assist in preparing quarterly and annual earnings forecasting models
  • Maintain and enhance financial models and databases
  • Monitor market data, economic information, industry developments, internal policies, and regulatory standards
  • Develop and maintain contacts with market participants
  • Work with senior research leads on ongoing publication of research reports
  • Assist with ad hoc projects
  • Interact with clients and develop and present client presentations
  • Conduct internal and external research projects
  • Support development and delivery of presentations and communications to management and broader audiences
  • Conduct functional or enterprise-level analysis and make recommendations
  • Monitor service, productivity, and efficiency and implement process improvements
  • Manage relationships across business lines and control functions
  • Participate in cross-functional and enterprise initiatives as a subject matter expert
  • Participate as a team member, contribute to knowledge transfer, and mentor others
  • Keep stakeholders informed about project status and relevant information
  • Act as a brand ambassador for TD Securities and TD Bank

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Undergraduate degree
  • 2+ years related experience
  • FINRA SIE, Series 63, 86 & 87 or willing to obtain
  • Holds or is working towards a CFA designation preferred for publishing analysts and associates
  • Masters or PhD preferred
  • In-depth knowledge/expertise in own domain/field of specialty and working knowledge of broader related areas
  • Ability to run data analysis and develop research reports
  • Ability to solve complex problems requiring analysis of multiple variables
  • Ability to interpret guidelines, standards, policies, and analysis results
  • Ability to work independently as a subject matter expert and escalation point
  • Ability to compile, analyze, and evaluate data and conduct modeling on multiple data inputs
  • Ability to develop valuation tools and forecasting models
  • Ability to maintain financial models and databases
  • Knowledge of market data, economic information, industry developments, internal policies, and regulatory standards
  • Ability to develop and maintain contacts with market participants
  • Ability to prepare and present client presentations
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions
  • Ability to perform arithmetic calculations
  • Willingness to travel domestically occasionally
