About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide financial analysis and advanced general finance, accounting, or related operational support
- Recommend actions to management based on analysis of financial results
- Analyze financial performance against benchmarks and reconcile variances
- Research and explain findings and issues to department or business management
- Coordinate and execute finance and research projects, audits, and reporting processes
- Collect meaningful data and research across finance areas
- Interpret data analysis, make recommendations, and escalate complex issues
- Provide technical subject matter expertise, finance analysis, and operational process support
- Coordinate partners and expertise on operational issues and initiatives
- Analyze process drivers and root causes of cross-functional operational issues
- Investigate transaction and process exceptions and resolve escalated matters
- Develop reporting functions and produce consolidated or aggregated reports
- Manage relationships with customers and other TD Finance areas
- Manage workload to meet service-level requirements
- Identify and manage risks and escalate high-risk activities
- Conduct functional or enterprise-level reporting and analysis
- Monitor service and productivity and implement process improvements
- Provide guidance and direction to others
- Lead small-scale projects or workstreams when assigned
- Participate in team activities, knowledge transfer, cross-training, and performance development
- Keep stakeholders informed about project and activity progress
- Provide training, coaching, or guidance as appropriate
- Promote a positive, diverse, and equitable work environment
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School diploma
- Undergraduate degree/college diploma preferred
- 3+ years relevant experience
- Sound knowledge of the operating environment, business processes and procedures, and transaction lifecycle for own area
- Related training and/or experience or skills
- Ability to execute routine requests
- Ability to identify operational, reporting, and process issues
- Ability to provide thorough analysis and specialized reporting or operational/process support
- General understanding of the overall function and/or businesses supported
- Ability to complete work within defined parameters with management guidance
- Ability to work onsite 4 days a week
- Candidates must comply with applicable provincial employment regulations in Canada
