About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Directly manage, supervise, hire, onboard, train, coach, and mentor a team of Financial Advisors
- Direct the day-to-day activities and performance of Financial Advisors in assigned markets and territories
- Ensure Financial Advisor compliance with regulatory guidelines for Mass Affluent and TDPCW offerings
- Increase Mass Affluent product sales and referral productivity through coaching and planning with Retail Bank leadership
- Meet assigned Mass Affluent revenue and Wealth/brokerage referral goals
- Manage territory coverage with Wealth and Retail leadership and measure Store success
- Develop relationships with Wealth, TD Bank Retail, and other internal and external business partners
- Provide product training, sales ideas, complex product sales suitability support, and client meeting support
- Serve as the team’s sales, product, and platform expert
- Coordinate sales support projects and ongoing Mass Affluent product training
- Lead marketing program implementation
- Assess Financial Advisor performance within the assigned territory
- Provide competitive intelligence and market share insights
- Partner with business development executives to launch lead-generation campaigns
- Participate in community and business development activities
- Deliver financial plan proposals and drive sales volumes, assets, and revenue growth
- Monitor and approve expenditures and prepare monthly financial statements and administrative reports
- Develop and retain competent, customer-service-oriented Financial Advisor staff
- Maintain a continuous Financial Advisor staffing pipeline
- Travel extensively within assigned territories
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 7–10+ years of related experience
- Required licenses or registrations, or ability to obtain within the Licensing & Registration Schedule: Life/Health, Series 65, Series 7, and Series 24
- Excellent communication skills
- Proven managerial skills
- Previous sales/leadership experience
- Demonstrated attention to detail
- Effective project management skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Experience performing complex financial, statistical, and budgetary analyses, preferably in the banking industry
- Ability to travel within the assigned market, about 75% of the time
- Driver’s License required
- Must be eligible for employment under FINRA standards
- Satisfactory criminal background, credit report, civil litigation, and regulatory enforcement searches
- Required statements/certifications regarding administrative, civil, and/or criminal findings
- Ability to perform continuous sedentary work, multiple tasks, office equipment operation, sitting, concentration, reading, writing, comprehension, and basic arithmetic
- Ability to perform occasional international travel and specified physical activities
