About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Directly manage and supervise a team of Financial Advisors
- Recruit, hire, onboard, train, coach, mentor, and evaluate Financial Advisors
- Oversee advisor suitability, product and platform knowledge, and business activity
- Build partnerships with Retail and other internal/external partners and drive referrals
- Provide financial planning and distribute Mass Affluent products, including annuities, managed solutions, and insurance
- Support high-net-worth and brokerage referrals for covered Stores
- Implement plans and programs to acquire new clients and deepen existing business
- Ensure advisors comply with regulatory guidelines for Mass Affluent and TDPCW offerings
- Increase Mass Affluent product sales and referral productivity through coaching and planning
- Deliver assigned revenue, sales volume, assets, and referral goals
- Manage territory coverage and align Store coverage with Wealth and Retail leadership
- Provide complex product sales suitability support and serve as a sales, product, and platform expert
- Coordinate high-impact sales activities, training, coaching, and related projects
- Lead marketing program implementation and campaigns that generate leads and opportunities
- Assess advisor performance and provide competitive intelligence and market-share insights
- Participate in community and business-development activities
- Monitor and approve expenditures and prepare monthly financial statements and administrative reports
- Develop and retain highly competent Financial Advisor staff and maintain a continuous advisor pipeline
- Travel extensively within assigned territories
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 7–10+ years of related experience
- Required licenses or registrations, or ability to obtain within the Licensing & Registration Schedule: Life/Health, Series 65, Series 7, and Series 24
- Excellent communication skills
- Proven managerial skills
- Previous sales/leadership experience
- Demonstrated attention to detail
- Effective project management skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Experience performing complex financial, statistical, and budgetary analyses, preferably in the banking industry
- Ability to travel within the assigned market, approximately 75% of the time
- Driver’s License required
- Must be eligible for employment under standards established by FINRA
- Satisfactory criminal background, credit report, civil litigation, and regulatory enforcement checks
- Domestic travel required continuously; international travel required occasionally
