  • Manage a portfolio of governance and control activities for moderately complex or high-risk business or functional areas
  • Implement policies, processes, and initiatives to meet governance and control guidelines
  • Act as a technical lead on key control initiatives
  • Integrate enterprise sub-function or business-line strategy into solutions across multiple functions or operations
  • Interpret internal and external business challenges and industry conditions
  • Recommend courses of action and best practices to improve products, processes, or services
  • Lead cross-functional teams or projects with significant resources, risk, or complexity
  • Independently manage end-to-end functional programs
  • Solve complex problems and lead efforts to develop new solutions
  • Guide others within the area of expertise
  • Establish goals and objectives supporting execution for multiple teams
  • Lead, plan, execute, and evaluate project activities
  • Mentor colleagues and support performance management
  • Facilitate discussions among technical, business, and risk partners
  • Travel domestically occasionally

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 7+ years of relevant experience
  • Advanced business understanding and knowledge of risk and control functions
  • Advanced knowledge of governance, risk and control procedures, strategies and tactics
  • Knowledge of current and emerging competitor and market trends
  • Ability to establish goals and objectives supporting delivery execution for multiple teams
  • Ability to contribute to the direction of the function and advise team and delivery leadership
  • Ability to lead, plan, execute and evaluate project activities
  • Skill in mentoring and performance management
  • Skill in using analytical software tools, data analysis methods and reporting techniques
  • Skill in using computer applications including MS Office and industry standards
  • Effective oral and written communication
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and functions
  • Ability to work successfully as a team member and drive team execution
  • Sound judgment in decision-making
  • Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines
  • Experience acting as a lead expert resource in technology controls/information security for project teams, the business, and/or outside vendors
  • Ability to identify potential gaps and provide security solutions to mitigate risks and protect the Bank
  • Understanding of metrics reporting and ability to identify patterns, themes, and opportunities from KRI/KPI data
  • Ability to translate technical control requirement gaps into business terms
  • Ability to facilitate conversations between technical, business, and risk partners
  • Undergraduate degree preferred
