About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead complex, high-risk HR case management and investigations end-to-end, including discipline approaches and employment decisions
  • Provide specialized advice and support to HR and business/corporate partners on high-risk and sensitive HR and employment matters
  • Partner with managers, employees, HR teams, Legal, Global Security & Investigations, and other stakeholders to collect information, analyze facts, evaluate situations, and develop strategies and risk assessments
  • Resolve issues within authority and escalate matters or seek expertise when appropriate
  • Conduct field interviews, site visits, information sessions, and employee-environment scans
  • Identify workplace issues and risks and recommend proactive approaches to systemic issues
  • Build trusted relationships and act as a business partner on employee relations matters
  • Handle investigations involving Code of Conduct breaches, Respect in the Workplace, Whistleblower matters, and related discipline and employment decisions
  • Support people managers in monitoring employee experience and engagement through HR visits, employee insight/In Touch sessions, and focus groups
  • Use risk mitigation tools to support operations within TD's acceptable employment risk profile
  • Provide management information on trends, issues, and opportunities; monitor the case management database and contribute to executive reporting
  • Identify and escalate issues with broad corporate implications or risks
  • Maintain accurate documentation, case files, and timely follow-up on outstanding issues
  • Maintain knowledge of operating procedures, standards, and levels of authority
  • Identify process improvement and efficiency opportunities
  • Promote teamwork, team building, and continuous learning
  • Support customer service strategy and improve partner/customer experience
  • Contribute to an inclusive employee culture and positive work environment
  • Provide leadership, training, and guidance to team members as needed
