About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Update the risk and control assessments tracker regularly
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly risk and operational reporting focused on IAM control testing status and findings
- Conduct IAM risk and control assessments
- Evaluate control procedure appropriateness, design effectiveness, and operating effectiveness across identity lifecycle, access management, privileged access, authentication, and related controls
- Guide partners on IAM controls, technology controls, information security programs, policies, and standards
- Lead or contribute to risk and control design assessments for assigned enterprise assets
- Contribute to the development and oversight of a global security management strategy and framework focused on identity and access governance
- Ensure technology, processes, and governance monitor, detect, prevent, and respond to current and emerging IAM, technology, and security threats
- Develop ongoing technology and IAM risk reporting, monitor trends, and provide assurance that control-effectiveness metrics are met
- Adhere to IAM policies, technology control standards, and regulatory guidelines
- Review internal processes and activities and identify opportunities to improve IAM practices and governance
- Advise, oversee, monitor, and enforce enterprise frameworks and methodologies related to technology controls, IAM, and information security
- Influence behavior to reduce risk and strengthen technology risk management culture
- Participate in complex, comprehensive, or large projects and initiatives
- Act as a lead expert resource in technology controls, information security, and risk for project teams, the business, and outside vendors
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree preferred
- University degree preferred
- 7+ years of relevant experience
- 2+ years of relevant experience in IT risk, technology, information security, IAM control assessment/testing, and/or data analysis in a large organization
- Expert knowledge of IT security and risk disciplines and practices
- Hands-on experience assessing or testing Identity and Access Management controls
- Working knowledge of IAM concepts, processes, and common platforms, including identity lifecycle management, PAM, MFA/SSO/federation, Active Directory / Entra ID, Ping Fed, CyberArk, and equivalent IGA/PAM tools
- Proficiency with Microsoft Power Apps
- Information security certification/accreditation such as CISA, CRISC, CISSP, or CISM is an asset
- Skills to identify, assess, and monitor technology and IAM risks
- Advanced knowledge of one or more technology controls or security domains relevant to IAM
- Strong critical thinking and ability to decompose complex issues
- Ability to explain IAM findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
- Knowledge of technology, security, IAM, risk, and governance issues
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices, including NIST, ISO 27001, COBIT, and SOX/ITGC frameworks
- Strong written and presentation skills, including audit-ready documentation and evidence
- Ability to prioritize and manage workload with limited guidance
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple team and client demands
- Diligence and resourcefulness in research, evidence collection, and information gathering
- Ability to work in a fluid, changing environment
- Dedicated team player comfortable with a dynamic work environment
