About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and maintain architecture frameworks and solutions supporting efficient, reliable, scalable and secure solutions
- Plan, evaluate, recommend and design architectural solutions compliant with enterprise standards
- Contribute to technology domain architecture strategies, policies, guiding principles and standards
- Collaborate with CoE partners and architects on security standards and solution security design
- Analyze business requirements and recommend optimal technology architecture solutions
- Review detailed solution architecture and designs for requirements and standards compliance and provide sign-off
- Contribute to project plans, direct assigned resources, communicate project status and escalate issues
- Provide expert consultation and subject matter expertise on moderate- to high-risk projects
- Develop Requirements Traceability Matrices with Technology Systems Analysts
- Build consensus and facilitate collaboration and decision-making across business units
- Ensure project compliance with technology architecture and delivery standards
- Create project documentation covering system requirements, scope and cost estimates
- Support development, documentation, communication and execution of strategies, policies and solutions
- Conduct pre- and post-implementation reviews
- Develop processes for technology standards decisions
- Perform technical risk analysis and assessment
- Identify enhancements and gaps in architecture frameworks, standards and patterns
- Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, technologies and best practices
- Participate in third-party contract/agreement negotiations
- Transfer knowledge to senior management, teams, technical areas and business units
- Support team members in achieving business objectives and providing client services
Requirements
What you’ll need- Undergraduate degree or Technical Certificate
- 7+ years relevant experience
- Expert knowledge of architecture for own technology, tools, processes and procedures and broader organization issues and technology
- Advanced knowledge of TD applications, programming languages, industry best practices, business/organization, Bank standards, infrastructure and architecture
- Graduate degree preferred
- Knowledge of security standards, risks and solution security design
- Knowledge of enterprise technology delivery practices, standards and project management disciplines
- Ability to work autonomously on complex, highly visible architecture projects/initiatives
- Ability to manage/direct analysis and design of architecture on larger, high-risk/complex projects
- Ability to act as a lead expert resource for project teams, business and/or outside vendors
