About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide technical leadership across data analysis functions including data modeling, SQL, data quality, data profiling, ETL, metadata enrichment and management, data provenance and lineage, and report design
  • Serve as a senior lead and subject matter expert for technical data management solutions
  • Support Financial Crime & Risk Management systems, including Oracle Transaction Monitoring and Customer Risk Rating solutions
  • Design, develop, and maintain the technology platform processing bank payments through behavior-detection algorithms
  • Design and maintain data governance processes to ensure data integrity for payment and reference data sent to FCRM systems
  • Document and manage data quality controls, business logic validations, and checks for FCRM data feeds
  • Lead analysis, design, and support of technical data management solutions on larger projects
  • Consult with clients and project teams on research, analysis, design, support, and development of technical solutions
  • Act as a key resource for exchanging technical information with project teams, the business, and outside vendors
  • Coach and educate others
  • Report generally to a Senior Manager or Executive
  • Engage in cross-team initiatives to modernize technology and align with portfolio and enterprise technology roadmaps

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Undergraduate degree or Technical Certificate
  • 5-7 years related experience
  • Minimum of 5+ years of AML transaction monitoring experience, preferably with large banks
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in data management, including data profiling, data controls/data quality rules, Source to Target mapping documents, and root cause analysis
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in PL/SQL, including query optimization, stored procedures, and indexing, preferably in Oracle-based tools
  • Ability to run complex analytical queries against Azure Data Lake Storage using distributed query engines such as Azure Synapse Serverless SQL or Databricks SQL
  • Hands-on experience reading, writing, and transforming data in ADLS using PySpark, Pandas, or Polars
  • Experience with relational databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, and Oracle
  • Experience with NoSQL databases including MongoDB and Redis
  • Excellent understanding of payments and settlement-system data, including flow of funds, Swift, ACH, and Fedwire
  • Comfortable working across Singapore, India, and US time zones
  • Strong people skills and ability to build relationships with business partners
  • Understanding of financial markets and regulation
  • Domestic travel may be occasional; international travel is never required
