About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead creation of comprehensive end-to-end detailed solutions
  • Maintain overall accountability for technical design and delivery of the System Design Specification (SDS)
  • Work primarily on large-scale, complex, or enterprise projects
  • Perform complex to difficult technical tasks independently
  • Consult with clients and project teams on research, analysis, design, hardware/software support, development of technical solutions, and testing
  • Serve as senior developer across a diverse range of activities
  • Provide technical guidance to resolve issues within area of expertise
  • Lead development of detailed, complex, and/or comprehensive project plans
  • Assess the impact and risk of integrating third-party solutions
  • Potentially perform complex programming and coding
  • Report typically to an IT Development Manager or above

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Undergraduate degree or Technical Certificate
  • 5-7 years related experience
  • Advanced knowledge of business, technical environments, processes, tools, multiple programming languages, operating systems, solution design, and relevant technology areas
  • Subject matter expertise in at least one discipline
  • Strong solution-design mindset
  • Strong understanding of enterprise technologies, including application development frameworks, databases, APIs, cloud platforms, middleware, and network infrastructure
  • 5+ years of experience designing and integrating solutions across internal and external platforms, including third-party vendor integrations and enterprise APIs
  • 5+ years of experience producing architecture and solution design documentation
  • 5+ years of hands-on Java development experience
  • 5+ years of experience designing and architecting Java-based distributed applications
  • Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs, microservices-based solutions, and event-driven integration patterns
  • Experience with Azure, OpenShift, Kubernetes, or equivalent enterprise cloud environments
  • Strong understanding of application security, authentication, authorization, encryption, and secure software development practices
  • Experience leveraging Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI tools, including incorporating AI-based components into delivered solutions
  • Experience within financial services, banking, or highly regulated industries
  • Occasional domestic travel availability
