About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support financial control, reporting, analysis, and governance activities for assigned products, portfolios, or businesses
  • Partner with Front Office, Market Risk, Operations, Finance, Technology, and internal control teams
  • Support timely and accurate P&L reporting, commentary, balance sheet review, and issue resolution
  • Prepare, review, and explain daily, monthly, and quarterly financial results, including drivers, trends, variances, and exceptions
  • Analyze results, assess issues, and recommend practical solutions
  • Respond to stakeholder requests with clear analysis, documentation, and timely follow-up
  • Support ad hoc analysis, management reporting, and business initiatives requiring product control expertise
  • Execute assigned controls according to applicable policies, procedures, and timelines
  • Maintain accurate process documentation and identify continuous improvement opportunities
  • Help investigate P&L differences, unexplained balances, reconciliation breaks, and valuation discrepancies
  • Escalate complex, unusual, or higher-risk matters to the manager or appropriate control partners
  • Participate in cross-functional projects, process automation, system implementations, or business transformation activities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or related field required
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in product control, finance, accounting, valuation control, audit, market risk, operations, or financial services preferred
  • Working knowledge of financial products, P&L reporting, balance sheet control, reconciliations, and financial control principles
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage deadlines, prioritize deliverables, and work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools
  • Experience with data visualization, automation, or query tools is an asset
  • Ability to perform sedentary work, operate standard office equipment, concentrate for long periods, read, write, comprehend instructions, and perform basic arithmetic
  • Occasional domestic travel
  • Must work on site in Mount Laurel, New Jersey
