About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead all technology-related areas of the Notify Now product group within GTS – Digital and AI Servicing
- Provide technical leadership and delivery expertise for high-throughput, mission-critical customer-facing assets, including Unified Messaging Platform, Messaging Back Office, and Valet API
- Lead development of technical solutions aligned with enterprise architecture and technology delivery principles
- Drive end-to-end execution of product team solutions
- Partner with business, project management, and technology groups to communicate technology decisions and drive business results
- Ensure alignment with the Target Operating Model, technology roadmap, enterprise architecture, and technologies
- Work with stakeholders to ensure solutions meet technical direction, requirements, budget, scalability, and architectural goals
- Participate in business planning and define technology delivery approaches
- Monitor and manage incident escalation processes
- Identify and leverage synergies across teams, applications, areas, and projects
- Anticipate business and regulatory issues and recommend process, product, and organizational improvements
- Manage resource requirements and assignments, project milestones, schedules, and budgets
- Identify and manage risks and escalate high-risk activities as necessary
- Provide thought leadership on quality engineering best practices and support knowledge transfer
- Keep current on emerging trends and developments
- Communicate project status and relevant information to stakeholders
- Collaborate with teams and leadership to identify and resolve product quality issues
- Lead, motivate, and develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Provide leadership and guidance to several teams across the enterprise
- Participate in business strategy development
- Introduce new technologies or versions of existing technologies into the organization
- Generally report to an executive
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience with high volume streaming/Kafka, Java, and Oracle/DB platforms
- Experience with messaging technologies including Push Notifications, SMS/RCS, and Email
- Undergraduate degree or Technical Certificate
- 10+ years of development and technology delivery experience
- Agile Delivery experience preferred
- Graduate degree preferred
- Advanced knowledge of TD applications, systems, networks, innovation, design activities, best practices, business/organization, bank standards, and regulatory and compliance standards
- Expert technical skills and strong understanding of the team's product, technology, and issues
- Knowledge and experience with distributed systems, event streaming, Azure and VMC2 platforms, and monitoring tools
