Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee end-to-end management of assigned products, services, and programs
  • Manage product features, benefits, characteristics, pricing, and profitability objectives
  • Drive innovation through customer insights and improve customer experience
  • Deliver business results and product sales while partnering with Acquisition teams on widget and volume targets
  • Develop and implement products, policies, and procedures that enhance customer experience and achieve business objectives
  • Ensure clear and effective delivery of products and services to customers
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for product-related inquiries and support senior-management presentations
  • Lead business plans to increase new-account growth and track P&L impact
  • Analyze industry and customer trends through research, focus groups, and secondary research
  • Facilitate ideation sessions and develop business cases for new product development and growth
  • Build relationships with sales distribution, internal stakeholders, external partners, and vendors
  • Lead problem-solving sessions with partners and vendors
  • Design end-to-end processes for product development, implementation, reporting, and feedback
  • Direct and coordinate market research to determine customer needs
  • Manage product features and enhancements and support strategic initiatives
  • Deliver financial results through pricing, margin, volume, acquisition, retention, engagement, and market-share levers
  • Conduct ongoing industry and competitive analysis
  • Refine product-management strategies through P&L analysis, competitive research, and marketing/risk-management review
  • Establish product policies and processes aligned with risk appetite
  • Oversee product-management deliverables within budget and approved product plan
  • Champion annual business planning and monthly/quarterly forecasting
  • Collaborate with IT, operations, legal, compliance, marketing, and other service providers
  • Identify and manage market, credit, and operational risks
  • Maintain productive relationships with distribution-channel owners
  • Mentor colleagues, share knowledge, and support team development

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Undergraduate degree or product management certificate and/or 7+ years relevant experience
  • Previous product experience typically required
  • Advanced knowledge of product research, product analysis and development, forecasting, pricing, and competitive intelligence
  • Knowledge of current and emerging competitor and market trends
  • Ability to lead, plan, implement, and evaluate program/project activities
  • Ability to forecast and contribute to strategic product-management direction and advise senior leadership
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate and build relationships across teams and functions
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Sound judgment and decision-making ability
  • Ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines
  • Skill in preparing and managing budgets and P&L
  • Knowledge of analytical software tools, data analysis methods, and reporting techniques
  • Proficiency with MS Office
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Must comply with Bank and Industry Codes of Conduct
