About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide specialized end-to-end business intelligence support, visualization, presentation, and solutions for significant business functions and projects
- Develop, adopt, and continuously evolve reporting and business intelligence capabilities
- Produce specialized reporting packages, dashboards, and scorecards for product development, customer engagement, account management, and business decision-making
- Generate interactive visualizations and tools using various methodologies
- Lead initiatives supporting overall business and functional strategy
- Conduct analysis to enhance business intelligence for management leadership
- Create complex BI reporting packages and dashboards using internal and external data sources, transforming data into visual stories
- Identify data presentations that meet evolving business needs
- Build layouts and templates for internal partners
- Validate reporting and dashboard data quality and integrity
- Develop commentary and insights on reporting packages
- Understand business objectives, provide value-added reporting, and deliver ad-hoc data extracts
- Implement and evolve report automation and visualization standards
- Advise colleagues and businesses on multi-format data visualization techniques
- Conduct research projects and support presentations and communications for management and broader audiences
- Make recommendations and assess program, policy, and practice effectiveness
- Monitor service and productivity, and implement process and performance improvements
- Lead or facilitate remediation plans addressing performance, risk, and governance issues
- Manage relationships across business lines, corporate functions, and control functions
- Participate as a subject matter expert in cross-functional and enterprise initiatives
- Support team development through mentorship, knowledge sharing, and best practices
- Keep stakeholders informed about project progress and day-to-day activities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Undergraduate degree or advanced technical degree preferred, such as in math, physics, engineering, finance, or computer science
- Graduate degree preferred with either progressive project work experience
- 3+ years of relevant experience; higher degree education and research tenure can be counted
- Advanced knowledge of reporting and business intelligence platforms, tools, and techniques
- Expert knowledge of main data sources used within the business unit
- Ability to integrate data across the enterprise
- Experience providing specialized data visualizations
- Ability to present to senior management or executives
- Ability to oversee and/or independently perform tasks end-to-end
- Ability to produce reporting packages, dashboards, and scorecards
- Knowledge of data infrastructure, localized DataMarts, external data sources, and visualization systems
- Ability to validate data quality and integrity
- Knowledge of report automation and visualization standards
- Ability to work with confidential information and comply with internal and external requirements
- Ability to conduct functional or enterprise-level analysis
- Occasional domestic travel
- Continuous sedentary work, multitasking, use of standard office equipment, concentration, reading, writing, comprehension, and basic arithmetic
