About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support adherence to statutory and regulatory requirements, including FCRA/Regulation V, ECOA/Regulation B, TILA/Regulation Z, SCRA, EFTA/Regulation E, and consumer protection laws
  • Contribute to compliance-related initiatives and participate in internal reviews
  • Assess controls, manage issues, and collaborate with business partners and stakeholders
  • Exercise independent judgment on significant regulatory compliance risk matters
  • Provide advice, counsel, guidance, consultation, and expert regulatory compliance support to business partners
  • Research, review, and maintain expertise on banking regulations, laws, policies, procedures, and consumer protection requirements
  • Create training content and train business partners on regulatory requirements
  • Advise on implementation of new and amended regulatory requirements
  • Review and approve disclosures, forms, customer-facing correspondence, operating procedures, and policies
  • Perform targeted and periodic compliance monitoring
  • Identify and communicate non-compliance and material control weaknesses
  • Oversee remediation of regulatory issues and review remediation action plans
  • Assess regulatory risk for new products, services, marketing campaigns, and other initiatives
  • Lead projects involving moderately complex to complex risks and resource requirements
  • Develop compliance policies, processes, controls, risk assessments, analysis, insights, and management reporting
  • Respond to regulatory requests, findings, audits, and examinations
  • Conduct enterprise-wide annual risk assessments and evaluate risk mitigation efforts
  • Coordinate with Compliance, governance, control, audit, consulting, and business partners
  • Support team development, knowledge transfer, mentorship, and stakeholder relationships

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience
  • Knowledge of consumer protection laws, regulations, and related regulatory requirements
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including preparing reports, presentations, and compliance-related materials
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
  • Experience supporting compliance-related projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to identify issues, perform research, and provide recommendations
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and communicate compliance risks and concerns
  • Third-party/vendor oversight experience preferred
  • CRCM certification or progress toward certification is a plus
  • Occasional domestic travel; no international travel
