About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct financial analysis, evaluation, and review of business performance and initiatives against plans, prior-year results, and business cases
  • Provide advice and guidance to Finance Management, business partners, and stakeholders on finance, accounting, reporting, and operational processes
  • Produce meaningful data analysis, materials, and dashboards supporting business goals and objectives
  • Develop dashboards to illustrate business trends and identify opportunities
  • Coordinate and consolidate financial information requests among Finance teams, stakeholders, external parties, regulators, and auditors
  • Provide specialized financial information, data, and guidance on procedures and issues
  • Identify variances and contribute to due diligence, execution, and implementation of initiatives, acquisitions, and restructurings
  • Work with FinOps and Specialized Finance teams to improve report production, system queries, process mapping, tracking, analysis, and transactional support
  • Research and investigate accounting, audit, operational, reporting, data, and analytics issues
  • Interpret guidelines, standards, policies, and analytical results to inform senior-level decisions
  • Lead projects and activities, build stakeholder alignment, and provide subject-matter advice
  • Support risk, governance, remediation, compliance, and continuous process-improvement initiatives
  • Conduct research projects and support presentations and communications to management
  • Participate in cross-functional initiatives and maintain relationships across business lines and control functions
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert, technical lead, resource, mentor, and knowledge-transfer contributor
  • Keep current on emerging trends, tools, techniques, and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in team development, performance management, cross-training, and internal/external stakeholder relationship building

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Undergraduate degree
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Accounting designation preferred
  • Month-end close experience
  • Financial reporting and management reporting experience
  • General ledger reconciliation experience
  • Financial systems expertise, including Planning Analytics, Essbase, TM1, data warehouses, and reporting tools
  • Data validation and troubleshooting
  • Process improvement and automation mindset
  • Stakeholder management with Finance, FP&A, Technology, and Lines of Business
  • Ability to investigate data lineage and source-system issues
  • SQL experience
  • Knowledge of financial accounting or related operational policies and procedures
  • Understanding of industry, competition, and organizational differentiators
  • Ability to work with financial controls, reconciliation, reporting, and finance processes
  • Ability to conduct analysis, research, due diligence, and recommendations
  • Ability to manage confidential information and comply with internal and external requirements
