About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build the next generation of a risk computation platform for quantifying, understanding, and reducing external total exposure under adverse market conditions
  • Architect and develop comprehensive end-to-end solutions
  • Maintain overall accountability for technical design and delivery of the System Design Specification (SDS)
  • Deliver solutions to the global markets business, providing front-to-back funding and liquidity metrics across capital market products
  • Work closely with business partners across trading, treasury, and risk management
  • Take on large-scale, complex, and enterprise-wide projects
  • Influence strategic technology solutions
  • Develop tooling and processes to enhance team efficiency
  • Collaborate with technical and non-technical TD teams to solve business and technology challenges
  • Provide technical leadership and apply a scalability- and stability-first approach
  • Leverage DevOps practices and tooling for CI/CD, TDD, and build tools
  • Contribute to the technical direction of future funding and liquidity platform versions
  • Develop understanding of securities liquidity and funding functions across asset classes
  • Engage directly with global stakeholders
  • Communicate, collaborate, share knowledge, and build relationships with business and technology partners

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8+ years of Java experience
  • Strong understanding of JVM internals
  • Experience with the Spring stack
  • Experience in microservice development using Spring Boot
  • Experience with Big Data technologies such as Databricks, Hadoop, or Spark
  • Experience designing and integrating REST API endpoints
  • Experience with RDBMS and demonstrable fluency in SQL
  • Experience with Git and CI/CD toolsets, including Maven, Gradle, and Jenkins
  • Experience working within an Agile environment
  • Strong understanding of system design and scalability
  • Familiarity with application monitoring solutions and KPIs
  • Strong understanding of clean coding practices
  • Experience collaborating efficiently within a global team
  • Strong communication skills
  • Demonstrable experience working in a fast-paced environment and supporting flexible goals aligned with business priorities
  • Knowledge of capital markets products is a plus
  • Knowledge of messaging technologies, preferably Kafka, is a plus
  • Knowledge of Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, Angular, or React is a plus
