About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build a resilient and scalable compliance risk management function and help design and implement a forward-thinking US compliance program
- Manage day-to-day Compliance Testing operations
- Oversee and develop teams of compliance testing specialists and/or managers
- Provide guidance, leadership, coaching, and development to Compliance Testing teams
- Execute the Compliance testing plan on time
- Communicate Compliance testing results to senior and executive management
- Identify emerging trends, operational efficiencies, and opportunities through testing engagements
- Set priorities and goals for the Compliance testing program and ensure they cascade to staff
- Lead talent identification and development processes
- Manage and prioritize multiple reviews and projects
- Lead resolution of complex project and program issues
- Manage Compliance Testing engagements and validate action plans
- Conduct analytical research and analysis
- Develop, implement, track, and report Compliance testing schedules
- Provide strategic direction for Compliance Testing programs, procedures, and processes
- Advise management, business units, and teams on Compliance issues
- Report emerging trends, risks, and opportunities to senior management
- Support key partner relationships and align stakeholders with strategic direction
- Develop business plans and optimize resources
- Plan and execute strategic activities, review results, and adjust tactics
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities in the Compliance Testing Program
- Support internal audit or regulator-review remediation plans
- Maintain a culture of risk management and control
- Set team targets and objectives, manage performance, coach employees, recruit staff, and build a diverse, high-performing team
Requirements
What you’ll need- Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience
- 10+ years of experience
- Knowledge and experience within compliance or audit, legal and regulatory environment, enterprise governance framework, products and services, policies, standards, systems, reporting and training requirements
- Knowledge of current and emerging trends, including regulatory expectations and standards for effective compliance management systems
- Knowledge and experience with risk management environment, standards, and regulations
- Ability to research, interpret and summarize relevant regulatory expectations, laws, regulations and impacts to Compliance Program elements
- Skill in using computer applications including MS Office
- Use in AI including MS Co-Pilot
- Skill in using advanced analytical software tools, data analysis methods and specialized reporting techniques
- Ability to independently identify, assess, and escalate issues requiring senior management attention
- Tableau or similar skills preferred, but not required
- CRCM preferred, but not required
