About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead teams responsible for independent, risk-based compliance testing activities
Provide strategic leadership, oversight, and talent development
Ensure timely execution of the Compliance testing plan
Communicate Compliance testing results to senior and executive management
Identify emerging trends, operational efficiencies, and opportunities through testing engagements
Manage and prioritize multiple reviews and projects
Lead problem resolution for complex project and program requirements
Manage compliance testing specialists and/or managers
Conduct analytical research and analysis for testing engagements
Develop, implement, track, and report on Compliance testing schedules
Provide strategic direction for the Compliance Testing Program, procedures, and processes
Advise management, business units, and teams on Compliance issues
Report emerging trends, risks, opportunities, and recommendations to senior management
Support relationships with key business partners and stakeholders
Develop business plans and optimize resources
Plan and execute strategic activities, communicate results, and adjust tactics
Lead continuous improvement opportunities in the Compliance Testing Program
Support remediation plans following internal audits or regulator reviews
Maintain a culture of risk management and control
Hire, develop, coach, evaluate, and manage team performance
Set team targets and objectives and deliver results
Recruit a diverse, qualified workforce and foster a cohesive team

Requirements

What you’ll need

Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience
10+ years of experience
Experience leading compliance testing teams and overseeing complex testing engagements and issue validations
Experience in compliance testing, audit, risk management, or regulatory compliance within a regulated environment
Experience leveraging data analytics and AI-enabled tools
Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, risk management frameworks, and compliance testing methodologies
Knowledge of compliance programs, governance frameworks, policies, controls, and regulatory obligations
Understanding of current and emerging regulatory expectations and industry best practices
Ability to assess risks, identify issues, and provide effective challenge and escalation
Ability to interpret laws, regulations, and regulatory guidance
Strong leadership, organizational, project management, and prioritization skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and reporting tools
CRCM certification is a plus
