About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and manage a team of Technology Controls/Information Security experts
  • Develop and/or manage information security strategies, programs, tools, frameworks, and policies
  • Provide specialized oversight, control, and governance for a key business line/segment or strategic initiative
  • Liaise across the organization and interface with executive and functional stakeholders
  • Minimize overall technology risks for the assigned area
  • Provide thought leadership and future-focused direction
  • Oversee teams or groups of moderate to large size, scope, risk, and complexity
  • Support regulatory exams and audit engagements
  • Lead issue management and remediation
  • Drive cross-functional alignment and manage projects and programs
  • Perform occasional domestic travel

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • 7+ years of governance, risk, controls, audit, or compliance experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Information security certification/accreditation an asset
  • CISA, CRISC, CISSP, CIA, CGEIT, or equivalent certification preferred
  • Deep expertise in bank and technology standards and leading large and varied teams of professionals
  • Expert knowledge of technology controls/information security, technology, tools, processes, and procedures
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
  • Ability to present options in business terms to IT, business staff, and executives
  • Experience supporting regulatory exams and audit engagements
  • Strong understanding of technology and cybersecurity risk management
  • Experience with RCSA, control inventories, and control testing programs
  • Proven issue management and remediation leadership
  • Ability to influence senior leaders and drive cross-functional alignment
  • Strong project and program management skills
  • Ability to perform sedentary work and multiple tasks continuously
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment continuously
