About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Complete 3–6 months of training to undertake the Account Manager, Small Business role
- Receive day-to-day support from an existing Account Manager, Business Banking, and oversight from an Area Manager
- Complete formal coursework as part of the training program
- Build, maintain, and expand customer relationships within the community
- Network with local business leaders to establish centers of influence and support business development
- Understand small business customer needs and provide customized information and advice
- Liaise with Internal Branch Banking, Commercial Banking Centers, and Wealth partners to provide holistic advice and resources
- Keep current on emerging trends and develop knowledge of the business, tools, and techniques
- Participate in knowledge transfer within the team and business unit
- Support a positive work environment promoting quality, innovation, and teamwork
- Ensure timely communication of issues
Requirements
What you’ll need- University degree and/or relevant entry level work experience
- Accounting/Finance coursework is an asset but can also be gained through experience
- Ability to cultivate long-term client relationships and acquire new clients
- Excellent business development and prospecting skills
- Ability to build valuable centers of influence within the local business community and retail branches
- Positive attitude and strong communication, time management, and organizational skills
- May require mobility within the GTA
- Training in the Brampton branch
