About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide Tier 3 support to operations virtualization administrators
Maintain hardware and software components at vendor-supported levels
Maintain expert knowledge of ESXi hosts, clusters, and vSAN
Support mission-critical Continuity of Operations (COOP)
Develop and/or participate in After Action Reports (AARs)
Advise and direct management and operation of VMware clusters in the DISA CESO enterprise architecture
Evaluate technologies and processes to identify gaps
Develop requirements and strategies for future cybersecurity operations
Participate in meetings with DISA CESO and mission partner working groups
Adhere to applicable DoD STIGs, DISA orders, and JSIG policies, guidelines, and regulations
Engineer and test virtualized on-premises and cloud environments

Requirements

What you’ll need

Active TS/SCI clearance
Ability to obtain and maintain a CI Poly
DoDD 8140 compliant certification, at minimum IAT Level II (e.g., Security+ CE), at start
Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of directly relevant experience
Additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree
6+ years of hands-on VMware experience in engineering, operations, and maintenance roles
Strong knowledge of VMware concepts and best practices
Experience working in a high op-temp, Top Secret environment
Must be a US citizen or lawful permanent resident of the United States
Onsite availability 5 days/week in Arlington, VA
Ability to support virtualized on-premises and cloud environments
