About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead implementation and administration of the program's DevSecOps ecosystem
  • Design, implement, maintain, and improve automated CI/CD pipelines
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code solutions for AWS cloud environments
  • Administer Cloud One (AWS) environments for availability, performance, security, and compliance
  • Integrate automated security capabilities including SAST, DAST, OSA, container security scanning, and related DevSecOps tools
  • Generate, maintain, and remediate SBOM findings
  • Manage Docker-based containerized application deployments and orchestration
  • Implement secure secrets management, credential protection, automated backups, and disaster recovery
  • Support production releases with installation plans, deployment packages, data migration scripts, STIG documentation, and IaC artifacts
  • Maintain deployment artifacts in the binary repository
  • Monitor cloud infrastructure, troubleshoot deployment and operational issues, and resolve production incidents
  • Collaborate with software engineers, database administrators, architects, testers, and cybersecurity stakeholders
  • Improve build automation, release processes, infrastructure scalability, and application reliability
  • Ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity, configuration management, and secure cloud operating requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Candidates must be able to report to the customer’s location in Montgomery, AL within two (2) hours of notification
  • Primary residence must be within 60 miles of Montgomery, AL
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in DevSecOps engineering and AWS cloud administration
  • Active DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II baseline certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ or equivalent)
  • Hands-on experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or similar automation platforms
  • Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Ansible or comparable automation frameworks
  • Proficiency with AWS cloud services and administration of cloud-based production environments
  • Experience with Docker, containerization technologies, and container orchestration platforms
  • Experience integrating SAST, DAST, Open Source Analysis (OSA), container scanning, and SBOM management into CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience implementing secure configuration management, secrets management, and automated deployment processes
  • Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity requirements, STIGs, and secure cloud environments
  • Strong troubleshooting, automation, scripting, and systems engineering skills
  • Active Secret Security Clearance
  • Preferred: AWS certification, Air Force Cloud One experience, DoD software modernization experience, Kubernetes familiarity, Terraform or additional IaC tools, RMF accreditation knowledge, monitoring/logging/observability platforms, high-availability cloud architecture and disaster recovery planning
