About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform FEA analysis of subsea production system and Surface Equipment products
- Review and interpret customer technical specifications and industry codes
- Create and review technical documents, including specifications and analysis reports, for existing or new technology or applications
- Use engineering judgment, classical calculations, and analysis programs to analyze designs and generate new designs
- Provide recommendations to optimize designs for functionality and manufacturability
- Develop solutions independently by analyzing, interpreting, and evaluating data
- Anticipate potential problems and take preventative actions
- Ensure quality and on-time delivery of assigned tasks
- Maintain personal time management and enter weekly time into SAP
- Provide input to and support improvements to processes or work instructions
- Ensure assignments conform to TechnipFMC guidelines and specifications
- Comply with TechnipFMC HSE and Quality policies
- Perform technical design reviews and recommend improvements
- Write, review, and approve technical reports and documents
- Capture lessons learned and best practices in analysis techniques and project/product design
Requirements
What you’ll need- BE or MTech in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant industry experience, preferably with a background in analyzing subsea/surface equipment
- Ansys tool knowledge is must
- Knowledge of industry-specific design codes such as ASME, API, DNV, NORSK and ISO
- Experience in Oil and Gas equipment finite element analysis
- Hands-on Finite Element analysis capability
- Experience with high pressurized equipment, boiler vessels, or heavy engineering
- Ability to verify and substantiate FEA results with classical hand calculation methods
- Proficiency in Non-Linear analysis
- Proficiency in Structural and Thermal analysis
- Experience with welded and bolted structure analysis
- Ability to estimate, plan and meet individual work requirements
- Ability to perform technical design reviews and recommend improvements
- Ability to write, review and approve technical reports and documents
- Ability to capture lessons learned and best practices into analysis techniques and project/product design
