About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work on assigned teams for Project Engineering, Product Development and Qualification Testing, or Product Standardization
- Support project engineering, new product and technology development, product improvement, product standardization, and product qualification projects
- Lead one or more professionals or GETs on a project basis
- Create and review part reports, drawings, engineering specifications, and standards according to customer requirements and industry standards
- Develop product design and geometry standards documentation and product qualification requirements
- Support and manage project schedules and deliverables
- Provide management with technical assistance and work progress updates
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to engineers and designers/drafters
- Collaborate on project tasks and independently review work packages
- Provide vendors with technical assistance and build working relationships
- Apply industry codes for Surface wellhead systems, TechnipFMC standards, and client specifications
- Develop solutions for complex technical problems, including new product and system designs
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree Mechanical Engineer
- At least 5 years of engineering experience in the Oil & Gas domain, reduced to 3 years for Masters/PhD candidates
- Experience supporting engineering for surface projects constrained by safety, quality, delivery, and cost requirements
- Experience reviewing engineering designs, documents, layouts, calculations, and interpreting FEA/structural analysis results
- Strong knowledge of engineering discipline and physical modeling techniques, including solid mechanics, fluid dynamics, and heat transfer
- Experience conducting design analysis, including hoop stress, flexibility, buckling, burst, and fatigue
- Experience with API 6A and NACE MR 0175
- Ability to manage engineering projects within specified schedule and budget
- Exposure to manufacturing processes including forging, hot and cold extrusion, cladding, HIP, and induction bending
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to coach and mentor others
