About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide technical support to internal and external customers across the product lifecycle, from manufacturing and testing through final installation and after-sales/service support
Research, plan, coordinate, and propose original designs of mechanical products and systems
Perform original design and layout work for new or modified products using CAD equipment
Serve as technical point of contact for internal and external customers on ongoing projects and operations
Perform disposition of Quality Notifications and rework, refurbishment, and remanufacture activities
Create procedures and work instructions for mobilization, demobilization, maintenance, refurbishment, and repair activities
Create, check, and review engineering documentation through the ECN process
Prepare engineering calculations for design reviews
Prepare and present complex ideas, design concepts, improvement proposals, and procedures to internal and external clients or suppliers
Discuss client needs, manage expectations, troubleshoot, and produce technical solutions
Prepare, plan, and participate in System Integration Testing
Provide real-time technical support for manufacturing issues using analytical and problem-solving skills
Lead design staff on a project basis in analyzing design alternatives and preparing customer layouts
Establish deadlines and manage priorities for self and others
Link service hubs and regional engineering groups to transfer knowledge, experience, and best practices
Support local HSEQ activities, Root Cause Analyses, HAZOPs, and Risk Assessments
Follow TechnipFMC engineering, quality, environmental, health, and safety rules and procedures

Requirements

What you’ll need

UAE National
Mechanical Engineering Bachelor Degree
Preferred 3 years experience in the Oil and Gas Industry as an Engineer working with Surface equipment
Knowledge and understanding of drilling operations specifically related to Surface wellhead equipment
Familiarity with industry standards and design guidelines including API 6A, API 17D, and NACE MR0175
Knowledge and understanding of design, manufacturing, and refurbishment processes
Understanding of economic factors including cost, profit, and impact of decisions
Highly self-motivated with good communication skills
Ability to contribute in technical discussions involving multiple functions across the business
Ability to guide and support others within the engineering team
Ability to perform high-level engineering calculations in accordance with applicable engineering design guidelines
Experience with CAD (Unigraphics/NX), Mathcad, TCE, SAP, and MS Office
Ability to conduct Root Cause Analysis using industry-practiced methodology
