About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage the LOF engineering team within ICAD, Abu Dhabi, UAE
  • Ensure compliance with TechnipFMC engineering standards, good practices, and operational execution excellence
  • Manage a multi-discipline LOF engineering team supporting offshore operations and base activities covering D&C, instrumentation/automation, and MMR
  • Develop and administer schedules and performance requirements, with possible budget responsibility
  • Define staffing levels and required skills according to project and operational needs
  • Select and train engineering team members to maintain know-how and competencies
  • Validate scope and resources during project engineering organization definition
  • Monitor engineering team involvement and performance during projects
  • Ensure compliance with engineering design and manufacturing standards, procedures, processes, quality targets, and customer satisfaction requirements
  • Manage regional LOF engineering technical integrity and growth through liaison with support centers, engineering centers, and alternative service providers
  • Consolidate discipline know-how and best practices through reference documentation
  • Disseminate and transfer know-how and best practices through work group animation
  • Monitor and manage team performance through goal setting, targets, measures, and periodically published KPIs
  • Provide technical guidance and authority to employees, colleagues, and/or customers

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Mechanical Engineering Bachelor Degree or tertiary education in Oil & Gas discipline
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in the Oil and Gas Industry, preferably in Surface D&C equipment
  • At minimum 3 years of experience in a lead or supervisory role
  • Ability to coordinate multi-discipline projects and groups
  • Advanced project management skills
  • Skilled communicator
  • Advanced planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent command of English required
  • Working knowledge of Surface wellhead and tree equipment or related subsea equipment
  • Working knowledge of installation and operation of Surface wellhead and tree equipment or related subsea equipment
  • Knowledge of well architecture, construction, drilling operations, and the general oil and gas onshore/offshore industry
  • Knowledge of industry governing design codes and standards such as API, ASME, DNV, or NORSOK
  • Innovative problem-solving ability for high-impact, complex, and cross-department problems
  • Ability to work autonomously under policies, procedures, and business plans
  • Ability to provide technical guidance and authority to employees, colleagues, and/or customers
