About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage the LOF engineering team within ICAD, Abu Dhabi, UAE
  • Ensure compliance with TechnipFMC engineering standards, good practices, and operational execution excellence
  • Lead LOF engineering team growth and development for D&C Operations, MMR, and iComplete
  • Develop and administer schedules and performance requirements; may have budget responsibilities
  • Manage a multi-discipline LOF engineering team supporting offshore operations and base activities
  • Adjust engineering resources quantitatively and qualitatively according to project and operational needs
  • Define staffing levels and required skills for projects and operations
  • Select and train engineering team members to maintain know-how and competencies
  • Validate scope and resources during project engineering-organization definition
  • Guarantee compliance with engineering design, manufacturing, quality, and customer-satisfaction standards
  • Monitor team involvement, performance, KPIs, and compliance with TechnipFMC processes and standards
  • Manage regional LOF engineering technical integrity and growth through liaison with support centers, engineering centers, and alternative service providers
  • Consolidate and disseminate discipline know-how and best practices through documentation and work-group animation
  • Ensure technical integrity and growth of disciplines
  • Provide technical guidance and authority to employees, colleagues, and customers

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Mechanical Engineering Bachelor Degree or tertiary education in Oil & Gas discipline; Masters preferred
  • Minimum 10+ years experience in the Oil and Gas Industry, preferably in Surface D&C equipment
  • At minimum 3 years of Lead or Supervisory role
  • Ability to coordinate multi-discipline projects and groups
  • Advanced project management skills
  • Skilled communicator
  • Advanced planning, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent command of English is required
  • Working knowledge of Surface wellhead and tree equipment or related subsea equipment
  • Working knowledge of the installation and operation of Surface wellhead and tree equipment or related subsea equipment
  • Appreciation of well architecture, construction and drilling operations and general O&G off/onshore industry
  • Appreciation of industry governing design codes and standards such as API, ASME, DNV or NORSOK
  • Innovative thinking to resolve high-impact, complex, and/or cross-department problems
  • Ability to work autonomously under policies, procedures, and business plans
  • Ability to provide technical guidance and authority to employees, colleagues, and/or customers
