About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provides technically complex engineering solutions in challenging project environments according to company standards, procedures, schedules, budgets, quality targets, and customer satisfaction goals
- Performs and approves engineering solutions within projects, operations, and manufacturing, fabrication, and installation sites
- Performs technically correct engineering analysis
- Develops optimized engineering solutions
- Provides technical assistance within projects and manufacturing, fabrication, and installation sites
- Approves design basis
- Coordinates engineering activities on tenders and project execution
- May supervise sub-contractors
- Ensures compliance of engineering solutions with client requirements, industry standards, HSE requirements, engineering processes, and best practices
- Provides guidance and training to Engineers under supervision-coordination
- Interfaces with other engineering disciplines and engineering teams
Requirements
What you’ll need- BS degree in Engineering preferred or equivalent with 5 to 10 years of experience in the field of designing Subsea Distribution Hardware (Umbilical Termination Assemblies, Subsea Distribution Unit, Electrical Distribution Unit, Steel Flying Leads etc)
- Strong technical skills in engineering
- Strong project management skills
- Good presentation and coaching skills
- Advanced organizational and problem-solving skills
- Understanding customer requirements and ability to translate them into product specifications
- Excellent command of English
- Knowledge of API6A and related standards
- Design appraisal through analysis
- Design review process
- Engineering documentation
