About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform FEA analysis of subsea production system and surface equipment products
- Review and interpret customer technical specifications and industry codes
- Create and review technical documents, including specifications, drawings, design documents, and analysis reports
- Use engineering judgment, classical calculations, and analysis programs to analyze designs and generate new designs
- Participate in design reviews and provide specialist piping, jumper, or flowline design advice
- Recommend design optimizations for functionality and manufacturability
- Independently develop solutions by analyzing, interpreting, and evaluating data
- Anticipate potential problems and take preventative actions
- Ensure quality and on-time delivery of assigned tasks
- Manage personal time and complete weekly time entries in SAP
- Support improvements to processes and work instructions
- Ensure assignments conform to TechnipFMC guidelines and specifications
- Comply with TechnipFMC HSE and Quality policies
- Guide team members and participate in technical review meetings
- Write, review, and approve technical reports and documents
- Capture lessons learned and best practices
Requirements
What you’ll need- BE or MTech in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 10+ years of relevant industry experience, with background in analyzing subsea/surface equipment preferred
- Ansys or Abaqus tool knowledge is must
- Knowledge of industry-specific design codes such as ASME, API, DNV, NORSK, and ISO
- Experience in Oil and Gas equipment finite element analysis
- Hands-on Finite Element analysis experience
- Experience with high pressurized equipment, boiler vessels, or heavy engineering
- Ability to verify and substantiate FEA results with classical hand calculation methods
- Proficiency in Non-Linear, Structural, and Thermal analysis
- Experience with welded and bolted structure analysis
- Ability to work hands-on and guide team members
- Ability to estimate, plan, and meet individual work requirements
- Ability to perform technical design reviews and recommend improvements
- Ability to participate in technical review meetings and discussions
- Ability to write, review, and approve technical reports and documents
- Ability to capture lessons learned and best practices in analysis techniques and project/product design
