About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Perform FEA analysis of subsea production system and surface equipment products
Create, review, and analyze designs for compliance with technical specifications, functionality, and constructability
Review and interpret customer technical specifications and industry codes
Create and review technical documents, including specifications, drawings, design documents, and analysis reports
Use engineering judgment, classical calculations, and analysis programs to analyze designs and generate new designs
Participate in design reviews and provide specialist piping, jumper, or flowline design advice
Recommend design optimizations to ensure functionality and manufacturability
Independently develop solutions by analyzing, interpreting, and evaluating data
Anticipate potential problems and take preventative actions
Deliver assigned tasks with quality and on time
Manage personal time and enter weekly time into SAP
Support improvements to processes or work instructions
Ensure assignments conform to TechnipFMC guidelines and specifications
Comply with TechnipFMC HSE and Quality policies
Guide team members and participate in technical review meetings
Write, review, and approve technical reports and documents

Requirements

What you’ll need

BE or MTech in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum 10+ years of relevant industry experience, with background in analyzing subsea/surface equipment preferred
Ansys or Abaqus tool knowledge is must
Knowledge of industry-specific design codes such as ASME, API, DNV, NORSK and ISO
Experience in Oil and Gas equipment finite element analysis
Hands-on Finite Element analysis experience
Experience in high pressurized equipment, boiler vessels, or heavy engineering
Ability to verify and substantiate FEA results with classical hand calculation methods
Proficiency in non-linear, structural, and thermal analysis
Experience with welded and bolted structure analysis
Ability to work hands-on and guide team members
Ability to estimate, plan, and meet individual work requirements
Ability to perform technical design reviews and recommend improvements
Ability to participate in technical review meetings and discussions
Ability to write, review, and approve technical reports and documents
Ability to capture lessons learned and best practices in analysis techniques and project/product design
