About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform FEA analysis of subsea production system and surface equipment products
  • Review and interpret customer technical specifications and industry codes
  • Create and review technical documents, including specifications, drawings, design documents, and analysis reports
  • Use engineering judgment, classical calculations, and analysis programs to analyze and generate designs
  • Participate in design reviews and provide specialist piping, jumper, or flowline design advice
  • Recommend design optimizations for functionality and manufacturability
  • Independently develop solutions by analyzing, interpreting, and evaluating data
  • Anticipate potential problems and take preventative actions
  • Ensure quality and on-time delivery of assigned tasks
  • Manage personal time and submit weekly time entries in SAP
  • Support improvements to processes and work instructions
  • Ensure assignments conform to TechnipFMC guidelines and specifications
  • Comply with TechnipFMC HSE and Quality policies
  • Guide team members and contribute to technical reviews
  • Write, review, and approve technical reports and documents
  • Capture lessons learned and best practices in analysis techniques and project/product design

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BE or MTech in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 10+ years of relevant industry experience, preferably analyzing subsea/surface equipment
  • Ansys or Abaqus tool knowledge is required
  • Knowledge of ASME, API, DNV, NORSK, and ISO design codes
  • Experience in Oil and Gas equipment finite element analysis
  • Hands-on Finite Element Analysis experience
  • Experience with high pressurized equipment, boiler vessels, or heavy engineering
  • Ability to verify and substantiate FEA results with classical hand calculations
  • Proficiency in Non-Linear, Structural, and Thermal analysis
  • Experience with welded and bolted structure analysis
  • Ability to work hands-on and guide team members
  • Ability to estimate, plan, and meet individual work requirements
  • Ability to perform technical design reviews and recommend improvements
  • Ability to participate in technical review meetings and discussions
  • Ability to write, review, and approve technical reports and documents
  • Ability to capture lessons learned and best practices in analysis techniques and project/product design
