About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Participate in all phases of project execution, including Win-it and Do-it
  • During FEED and tender phases, understand client and internal needs, drivers, and requirements and translate them into system concepts
  • Ensure systems engineering is performed within projects and generate associated system technical documentation
  • Ensure overall system specification and integrity of technical project solutions across lifecycle phases
  • Lead WP05 system engineering activities and ensure documentation and activities are completed on time and to agreed quality
  • Work closely with the Project Engineering Manager and act as deputy when required
  • Provide technical leadership and solve complex technical issues across disciplines
  • Liaise with and drive agreement on internal and external interfaces
  • Prepare input to variation orders and management of change processes
  • Plan system engineering activities in accordance with GBMS
  • Perform project mobilization activities
  • Establish project system requirements and prepare/follow up System Design Review (DR-1)
  • Create and issue system documents and drawings, including Design Basis/System Specification, Field Layout, Spare Parts & Tagging philosophy, P&IDs, Outline Test Program, and Spare Part list
  • Establish and maintain system interfaces
  • Maximize use of standard products and obtain approval for non-standard products
  • Initiate and supervise technical clarifications with customers
  • Participate in internal meetings, review boards, project meetings, and technical meetings
  • Incorporate customer and regulatory requirements, standards, expectations, and FMC experience into system documentation
  • Conduct required analysis work and ROV access verification
  • Prepare and review system test procedures and documentation for operation and maintenance
  • Review, prepare, or provide input to system test specifications
  • Participate in project closeout activities, including as-built documentation, experience transfer, and close-out reports

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BSc with minimum 9 years' experience, or MSc/PhD with minimum 8 years' experience
  • Work experience can compensate for lack of formal competency
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in System Engineering/Project Engineering
  • Multidiscipline knowledge and interest
  • Able to work independently
  • Able to lead teams
