About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Performs varied and more complex assembly and tests of mechanical/hydraulic assemblies
- Assembles and tests assemblies according to specifications
- Applies advanced skills in procedures, techniques, tools, materials and/or equipment in area of expertise
- Completes required test documentation including test reports, failed test reports and NCRs
- Assists with FATs (Factory Acceptance Tests) and SITs (System Integration Tests)
- Assists in preparing, maintaining and utilizing test stations and test equipment for factory and system acceptance testing
- Uses material handling equipment to move parts, components and sub-assemblies between work or storage areas
- Collects and inputs information in specific systems for cost tracking purposes
- Performs all duties safely and keeps employees aware of dangers in the work area
- Assists experienced Assembly Technicians and supports training less experienced colleagues
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent technical diploma
- 3 years of experience in field
- Proficiency to read and interpret drawings and technical documentation in assembly
- Knowledge/use of complex tools, equipment and techniques (e.g. FAT, Gas testing, etc.)
