About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Assist the Purchasing Manager and Assembly Technology Coordinator with fast-paced daily operations
Run weekly overdue purchase order reports and follow up on flagged late items
Contact vendors for shipment updates and attempt order expedites
Run weekly expedite reports and follow up on overdue customer delivery items
Check receipt issues daily and address shortages, incorrect products, defective items, returns, and quarantined inventory
Monitor the non-conforming portal and work with warehouse staff to resolve receipt issues
Fulfill customer requests for Certificates of Conformance and related documentation
Assist with inventory management projects and tasks
Receive customer orders and enter them into Prophet 21 (Epicor)
Place vendor orders and update the Assembly Technology scheduling tool
Assist with production orders, BOMs, job documentation, and production schedules
Handle urgent tasks and responsibilities when the Assembly Technology Coordinator is absent
Coordinate production schedules with the Production Team Lead and Assembly Technology Coordinator
Serve as a contact for accounting, production, shipping, sales, and suppliers regarding expedites, order discrepancies, and quality issues

Requirements

What you’ll need

A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent
Associates Degree or higher preferred
1 to 3 years of supply chain experience
Strong computer skills including a high level of competence with Excel
Ability to learn and apply new information quickly
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
Professional and timely verbal and written communication
Ability to establish rapport and build relationships with vendors and co-workers
Solid organizational skills, including managing and prioritizing multiple competing priorities
Ability to work independently and self-manage
Prophet 21 or comparable ERP system experience is a plus
Advanced Excel skills desired
In-depth knowledge of purchasing functions, inventory and supply management systems desired
Successful completion of a background check and drug screening
Must be able to work without visa sponsorship or relocation assistance
