About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Monitor, identify, and resolve component lifecycle issues
  • Assist teams in identifying appropriate component resources and substitutes
  • Support design teams with component research and qualification
  • Manage component obsolescence and lifecycle activities
  • Identify alternative parts and recommend solutions to ensure supply continuity
  • Investigate alternative component technologies or suppliers to reduce cost or improve quality and reliability
  • Prepare test setups for component qualification
  • Prepare test reports and approve alternate parts
  • Monitor component, assembly, and sub-assembly compliance with FITS, RoHS, REACH, CMRT, safety, and regulatory requirements
  • Collect datasheets and compliance reports from manufacturers and distributors
  • Engage manufacturers in field-reported component failure studies and solution development
  • Administer ECR, ECN, and EOL databases and maintain request logs
  • Communicate impacts and supply continuity considerations to design and supply chain teams
  • Build productive internal and external working relationships

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in component design & testing
  • BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech in ECE/EEE
  • Sound knowledge in electronic component selection, qualification and approval processes
  • Experience creating test setups for component qualification
  • Knowledge of RoHS, REACH, and CMRT
  • Knowledge of schematic and PCB tool usage
  • Knowledge of approval, ECN, ECR, and EOL processes
  • Telecom domain experience is an added advantage
  • Fibre optic component qualification experience is an advantage
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision
  • Good interpersonal skills
