About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Join a curated network matching Forward Deployed Engineers with top European AI startups
Own deployments end to end, from scoping to go-live
Run discovery, gather requirements, and translate business needs into technical requirements
Work directly with customers' engineers
Write production code and build integrations with CRM, ERP, ticketing, transport management, and data systems
Design solution architecture
Explain technical topics to technical and non-technical audiences, including executives
Feed field learnings back into products
Build reusable patterns, tools, and playbooks from individual deployments
Complete Tekkr assessments and potentially receive fast-tracked access to partner startup interview processes

Requirements

What you’ll need

Production-quality coding skills
Experience working with APIs, databases, and cloud platforms
Ability to debug production issues under time pressure
Typical programming languages: Python and TypeScript
Ability to turn vague requests into scoped problems
Ability to explain technical trade-offs clearly, in writing and live
Track record of driving outcomes end to end and operating independently in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
Outlier achievements, such as shipped products or top performance
Hands-on experience building with LLMs or AI agents (retrieval, evals, prompt engineering, tool use) — nice to have
Product background — nice to have
