About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and maintain high-impact backend services for multi-tenant and single-tenant systems using Erlang and Rust
- Own and evolve core backend services, influencing technical direction, architecture, and product development
- Apply pragmatic AI agentic development practices to improve engineering workflows and accelerate development
- Build and integrate solutions using Riak, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Valkey, RabbitMQ, and Kafka
- Improve automation, observability, and deployment using GitHub Actions, Grafana, Docker, Kubernetes, and Linux
- Work in a cross-functional Scrum team
- Contribute to secure, scalable backend services for Telia ACE, a Contact Center as a Service platform
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven experience in backend software development and working with complex or distributed systems
- Strong interest in secure and reliable software engineering, with willingness to become proficient in Erlang and Rust
- Ability to take ownership, collaborate in an agile cross-functional team, and contribute to technical and process improvements
- Knowledge of DevSecOps practices
- Interest in pragmatic use of AI and agentic development tools to improve engineering productivity while maintaining quality, security, and sound engineering judgment
- Experience with containerization, CI/CD, observability, microservices, or Kubernetes is an advantage
