About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build and improve reliable backend services
Develop and maintain Web/UI and backend services
Design and optimize data solutions using SQL databases and/or MongoDB
Improve system performance, caching, reliability, and maintainability for scale
Identify vulnerabilities and apply secure coding practices
Collaborate through Git-based workflows, code reviews, pull requests, and shared engineering standards
Contribute across the development lifecycle, from technical design and implementation to testing, deployment, and continuous improvement
Plan, design, develop, support, and operate Telia Smart Connect, an award-winning B2B call center solution

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong experience with PHP and/or Golang
Experience working with SQL databases and/or MongoDB
Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken
Experience working in collaborative software development teams using Git, including code reviews, pull requests, and team-based development workflows
Ability to work independently while proactively asking for help when needed
Experience building high-traffic systems where scalability, caching, and performance optimization are important
Experience identifying and fixing security vulnerabilities
Knowledge of secure coding practices and application security
Experience with Linux
Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript
Experience with Vue.js
Good knowledge of HTML/CSS
Experience with Docker
