Own off-page SEO and AEO end to end, including link building, digital PR, partnerships, guest contributions, AI citations and brand mentions
Get Telnyx cited by ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini and Google AI Overviews for developer-related connectivity and API queries
Use AI citation tracking to identify target publications, listicles, subreddits and creators, then secure placements
Write and place guest posts, partner articles and contributed pieces on developer-focused sites
Pitch Telnyx benchmarks, product launches and data to publications, newsletters, podcasts and roundups
Partner with Content and DevRel on original research, latency and cost benchmarks, and technical deep-dives that earn links and citations
Manage link vendors, including monthly targets, anchor plans, quality standards, placement checks and cost-per-link tracking
Build documented, automated workflows for prospecting, outreach, follow-ups and reporting using AI agents
Run structured experiments on content formats and placement types, documenting what improves citation share
Report weekly on domains acquired, citation share, share of voice, AI referral traffic, signups and contact-sales leads
Build and run Telnyx’s Reddit and X engagement program, monitoring valuable threads, questions and competitor mentions and responding helpfully with disclosure
Respond to developer complaints and support issues on Reddit or X, route them internally, and follow up publicly after resolution
Report to the Senior Director of AEO

Requirements

What you’ll need

3 to 5+ years in off-page SEO, digital PR or link building, ideally at a developer tool, API, cloud or PLG SaaS company
Personally built links, landed placements and run digital PR campaigns, with demonstrable domains won and traffic generated
Hands-on experience tracking AI citations from ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and AI Overviews, understanding source selection, and getting a brand cited
Familiarity with developer publications, newsletters, subreddits, X accounts and developer communities
Ability to write personalized outreach pitches and build relationships with editors, maintainers and newsletter authors
Knowledge of Reddit and X community norms, helpful replies and clear disclosure
Strong technical writing skills, including turning technical topics into publishable guest posts
Comfortable working independently without an agency or outreach team
Experience building automated workflows with AI agents for prospecting, listening, follow-ups or reporting
Ability to work with backlink data in Ahrefs or Semrush, AI visibility tools, and Search Console, connecting results to signups and pipeline
Judgment on link quality, including relevance, traffic and authority; no link farms or private blog networks; ability to manage vendors
Some coding ability such as Python or SQL, experience with Reddit or Hacker News, AI visibility tools, original research, developer publication contacts, review/comparison sites, basic technical SEO, or startup/first-hire experience are bonus qualifications
